Now thats a melodious tune - Maayera!

I found a new song to play in repeat. After raving about the 'Tere bin', it is turn of a telugu song to occupy my time during work, apart from well, work.

Harris Jayraj upstaged his calibre with this one composition, even he has miles to go before he scales levels of Illairaja or Rahman, but man, what a melody this song is.

Mahesh has always been lucky to get great melodies, but it was usually Manisharma who was delivering the goods. So it was interesting wait and watch how the tamil import would score for the Prince. All the songs from the movie are a treat, a worthy 25 minutes of listening pleasure.

Now, coming to the song Maayera, the lyrics and setting of the song reminds us of 'Jaane kyon log', and the tune is more in sync with 'mellaga mellaga vachi' from "Aasa aasa aasa" and 'dilse re' from "Dil se".

Just listening to that song, you can hear honey dripping from SPB's voice. There is no one else, no one else today in India to match this versatile genius.
