Wait, is it that one community has rioted the other, where you cannot really name the community. Wait, maybe the people who died are really people - maybe they dont belong to this one community particularly. Do you hear a loud round of applause in honor of our secular Indian media.

UP MLA booked for riots in Mau

Mau (Uttar Pradesh), Oct. 18. (PTI): Local independent MLA, Mukhtar Ansari and 100 others were today booked in an FIR for inciting riots in Mau , official sources said.

The FIR against Ansari and 100 others was lodged in the Kotwali Police Station area booking them under various sections of IPC for inciting riots, murder and violation of curfew on the complaint of Jitendra Yadav of Kachchar village , sources said.

Curfew continued for the fifth consecutive day and shoot-at-sight orders remained in force as jawans of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) and police personnel patrolled the streets.

Seven people were killed and 36 others injured in communal violence that rocked the town on Thursday over Dussehra celebrations leading to imposition of curfew.
