Remember Kevin?

This is the picture taken by Kevin Carter back in 1994 (alright, you can read the text associated with the above picture) and later he committed suicide, because he couldn’t bear the human suffering happening all around him. Even the Pulitzer Prize couldn’t help save him. This post is in commemoration of this picture and also his life. However, we all know for a fact that the grim situation that prevailed in Sudan a decade back didn’t get any better – except that back in 2001, Sudan has become part of human rights organization of UN, while USA has been voted off. Talk of Irony.

Interestingly, I couldn’t stop from bringing India’s active involvement/ investment in Sudan even after being aware that Sudan has consistently violated every human right there can be. With billions of Indian money getting stacked in Sudan, one can expect this kind of articles to appear more often than one cares.
